Windsurfing Athlete

Born on the 19th of March 2001 in Andros, Greece he is a windsurfing athlete of the Andros Yacthing Club. Despite his young age, he has gained experience at international competitions and aims high at a worldwide level.

His most important distinctions:

2011:

  • He participated for the first time at an official competition – the U13 Greek Championship, in which he won the 1st place. His first win followed another 5 gold medals the years 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2017

2014:

  • 2nd place at the Youth European Championship
  • 5th place at the World Championship at France, competing without his coach presence

2015:

  • 1st place at the international competition Athens Eurolymp Week
  • 2nd place at the European Championship in Liepaja, Latvia, competing with athletes from 14 countries
  • 1st place at the Italian Championship in Torre Guaceto, Italy
  • 1st place at the Under 15 World Championship that took place in Cagliari, Italy

2016:

  • 1st place at the international competition Athens Eurolymp Week
  • 4th place at the Med Cup in France
  • 6th place at the European Championship in Sopot, Poland where he competed with athletes from 27 countries
  • 2nd place at the World Championship in Italy competing amongst 136 athletes from 32 countries
  • He participated as the youngest athlete in the Olympic Class RS:x Youth World Championship where he ranked 37th in a total of 72 athletes. In the U17 competition he ranked 8th

2017:

  • 1st place at the Techno Plus class of the Greek Championship
  • 1st place at the Athens Eurolymp Week where he competed for the first time at the RS:x 8.5 class and Techno Plus 8.5 class
  • He won his first Olympic class medal with the 3rd place at the Junior European Championship in Marseille, France
  • 2nd place at the Junior World Championship, class RSX, in Italy
  • 3rd place at the Junior World Championship at the Techno Plus class, ensuring Greece’s participation in the 2018 Youth Olympic Games in Argentina
  • 5th place at the World Championship Techno 293 in Salou, Spain

2018:

  • 1st place at the Olympic class RS:x of the Athens Eurolymp Week 2018. With this distinction he ensured his participation at the Youth World Championship
  • 5th place at the Techno 293 Plus European Championship in Sicily, Italy
  • 2nd place at the Greek national Championship competing for the last time at the techno plus class, as he continues with the RS:x
  • 1st place at the Greek national youth Championship competing in the RS:x Olympic class
  • 8th place at the Youth World Championship in France
  • 6th place at Isaf youth worlds in Texas
  • Participated for the first time at the Men’s World Championship, winning the 60th place amongst 85 athletes
  • 5th place at the European Youth Championship held in Poland
  • 2nd place at the Haifa winter regatta in Israel

2019:

  • 5th place at the European Youth Championship in Mallorca
  • 4th at the European Cup in the Netherlands
