Miltos Tentoglou

Long Jump

Born in Grevena, Greece on the 18th of March 1998, Miltos is considered to be one of the greatest talents in his discipline. His height i 1.87m and weight 70kg.

His personal best is 8,30m, a record that ranks him, along with Dimitri Filinda, at the 3rd place in Greece following an 8.66m jump from Louis Tsatoumas and and an 8.36m jump from Konstandinos Koukodimos.

His most important distinctions: 

2016:

  • 5th place at the World Championship U18 in Colombia
  • 2nd place at the World Championship U20 in Poland
  • At the age of 18 he participated for the first time in the Olympic Games of Rio de Janeiro where he ranked 27th

2017:

  • 1st place at the Greek Championship in Patra, Greece, where he scored the 4th best performance in the world and a new junior’s national record with his 8,30m jump
  • 1st place at the U20 European Championship in Italy
  • 19th place at the World Championship in London

2018:

  • 9th place at the IAAF Indoor World Championship with a 7.82m jump
  • 3rd place at the international meeting in Paris
  • 1st place at the international meeting in Ostrava with a 7.93m jump
  • 1st place at the international meeting in Chania, Greece with a 8.19m jump
  • 10th place at the Diamond League that was held in Rome, with a mark of 7.69m
  • 6th place at the Stockholm Diamond League with a 8.05m jump
  • 1st place at the European Championship in Berlin with a 8.25m jump
  • 1st place at the Rovereto meeting with an 8m jump
  • 2nd place at the IAAF Continental Cup with an 8m jump

2019:

  • 1st place competing at the Youth Mediterranean Games held in Miramas with a 7.99m jump
  • 1st place at the IAAF World Indoor Tour in Madrid with a 8.23m jump
  • National Indoor Champion with a 8.19m jump
  • 3rd place at the IAAF World Indoor Tour in Birmingham with a 7.97m jump
  • 1st place at the European Indoor Championship with a 8.38m jump. His jump set a new national indoor record and is the second all time best performance in Greece following the 8.66m jump by Louis Tsatoumas
